– You’re looking at the all new Dyson Cyclone V10 which was just launched globally by Dyson at a media event just a few minutes ago here on March sixth. According to Dyson, this is the cord-free vacuum that convinced James Dyson, the Founder of the company, that Dyson will no longer design full-sized vacuum cleaners. In this episode, I give you an up close look at the Dyson Cyclone V10 and show you what sets it apart from the competition.

As I mentioned, today, I’m giving you a look at Dyson’s brand new vacuum cleaner. I’ve actually got one right here. It is the Dyson Cyclone V10. And by the way, big shout out to Dyson for sending over the Dyson V10 and for sponsoring this site. As I mentioned, the Dyson Cyclone V10 is the vacuum cleaner that made Dyson decide that designing new upright vacuums, which were absolutely what they were known for, no longer makes any sense because the Dyson V10 packs so much power. But don’t fear if you’ve been eyeing a Dyson upright vacuum. They will still be making and manufacturing the current models. They just won’t be putting out any new versions in the future. From here on out, it’s handheld vacuums and stick models like the Dyson V10 alongside the new electric car line that Dyson will be developing as well. The Dyson V10 is the result of over five years of development. The V10 motor inside of here is Dyson’s smallest and lightest motor that it’s ever made and despite those two facts, it’s also the most powerful. In fact, it’s over 40% lighter than previous Dyson motors, yet can spin at up to 125,000 rpm. The great thing about the Dyson V10 is that it makes it super easy when you’re cleaning. It’s nice and light while remaining balanced in your hand and it has the power of a full-size vacuum, making those uprights feel like they’re relics from the past. Now, if you’re reading a site about a vacuum cleaner then that probably means that you wanna see it in action. The Dyson Cyclone V10’s powerful performance results in stronger suction power and longer running time. And again, this is cordless so you have complete freedom and the battery runs for a really long time. In the box, we’ve got a few accessories that make this vacuum super versatile. I’m gonna attach the soft roller head which does a great job at cleaning hardwood floors like I have here in my home. If you wanna clean carpet, you’d swap out the soft roller for the torque head instead. Here’s an example of cleaning up some spilled cereal on my hardwood floor. As you can see, it picks it all up. (vacuum whirring) Maybe you spilled something more fine like sugar or baking powder and the Dyson V10 can clean that up just as easily. I do have dogs here in my home and they don’t shed much but if I do find any errant dog fur, I can use the soft roller head that I mentioned earlier to pick it right up from any carpeted areas as well. I should also mention that Dyson did a great job by keeping the Dyson V10 balanced in your hand while you use it. So whether you’re standing up and vacuuming or getting underneath furniture or reaching up to grab stuff from the corners of your ceiling, it always feels easy to hold. And when you don’t need the long hose, you can remove it and the Dyson V10 becomes a powerful hand vacuum. And speaking of those accessories, if you’re the owner of a previous Dyson V7 or V8, those accessories for those vacuums are completely compatible with the Dyson V10 as well. As you can see, the Dyson V10 sports an increased bin size over its predecessors. It’s 40% larger than the one found on Dyson’s V8 Absolute. You can keep cleaning without always having to stop to empty it but when you do empty it, it’s got a hygienic bin emptying mechanism so you don’t get dirty while disposing of the dirt. That’s thanks in part to the new 90 degree bin orientation. You basically point, shoot and keep it moving. Again, the Dyson V10 Cyclone vacuum launched today globally.
